Handling & reconstitution

Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening, so that condensation does not form on the lyophilised cake. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, directing the stream against the wall of the vial rather than onto the powder. Let the cake dissolve undisturbed and swirl gently if required. Do not shake, as agitation can denature the peptide. Store the reconstituted solution at 2-8 °C, protected from light, and do not re-freeze. Record the reconstitution date on the vial label. Handle in line with your laboratory's standard operating procedures and the local regulations that apply to research materials.
