ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is an eleven amino acid peptide derived from the helix B domain of erythropoietin. Unlike erythropoietin itself it does not act on the haematopoietic receptor; published research has instead focused on the innate repair receptor and on models of tissue stress and small fibre neuropathy.
